This was my first time at a function at the Sharks Board in Umhlanga, so I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The function venue is huge with an indoor and a very large outdoor area, which was perfect for the braai night. The mens area was setup outside with their own lounge area, while the ladies were setup inside and close to the band & entertainment for the evening. Mrs Mehtar arrived fitting the part of spanish royalty, once again lighting up the room everywhere she appeared! I loved her dress, the hair, the makeup and the red flower in her hair to bring everything together. The evening was a huge success, and after everyone had dinner, the dance floor was opened for the rest of the evening. And the best was yet to come. I didn't stay too long, as the next day was the wedding reception and I wanted to be ontop of my game to photograph this, because I knew it was going to be nothing less than spectacular.
